Student Registration

The instructions for registration is included in each of the registration packets.

Please download the packet(s) that you need and follow the appropriate instructions for registering your student(s).

Kindergarten registration for the 2025-26 school year

The New Hartford Central School District’s elementary schools will be hosting in-person kindergarten registration for the 2025-26 school year.

To be eligible, a child must be 5 years old on or before Dec. 1, 2025.

Parents/guardians are encouraged to complete the Elementary (K-6) Registration Packet prior to attending in-person registration at their child’s building and must bring the required documentation listed below.

In-person kindergarten registration dates

  • Bradley Elementary 33 Oxford Rd., New Hartford, NY – Jan. 21, 2025, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Hughes Elementary 340 Higby Rd., New Hartford, NY – Jan. 23, 2025, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Myles Elementary 100 Clinton Rd., New Hartford, NY – Jan. 28, 2025, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Additional in-person registration dates will be announced at a later date for parents/guardians who are unable to attend in January.

Required documents for registration

  1. Original birth certificate
  2. Proof of residency:
  • A copy of a residential lease or proof of ownership of a house or condominium such as a deed or mortgage statement;
  • A statement signed by a landlord, property owner, or tenant from whom the adult leases or rents property, or with whom the adult shares property within the district (the district prefers a sworn statement, but this is not required);
  • Some other signed statement from a third party establishing that the adult maintains a physical presence within the district.

AND

  • One other form of documentation of residency, including, but not limited to:
    • Paystub
    • Income tax form
    • Utility or other bills
    • Membership documents based on residency
    • Voter registration documents
    • Official driver’s license, learner permit, or non-driver identification
    • State or other government-issued identification or documents relating to government services or benefits
  1. Custody papers (if applicable)
  2. Academic records from your previous school (if applicable)
  3. Health records including immunizations
  4. Committee on Special Education (CSE) records (if applicable)
  5. Discipline records from your previous school (if applicable)
  6. Completed registration packet
