At its Sept. 24 meeting, the New Hartford Board of Education appointed Vincent Perrotta as the Director of Athletics.
Mr. Perrotta has 24 years of experience in education, most recently serving as the Director of Physical Education and Athletics for the Utica City School District since 2022. He is treasurer of the Tri-Valley League Executive Committee and a member of the Section III Athletics Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, Scholar Athlete Committee and Transfer Committee.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Perrotta was the Proctor High School athletic manager and physical education department chairperson. He has also coached nearly one dozen school athletic teams, served as a K-12 physical education teacher and a middle school health teacher during his tenure at Utica.
Mr. Perrotta earned a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree in education from the University of New England and holds a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
Mr. Perrotta will start in New Hartford on Oct. 25.
