Superintendent search process to be discussed at Aug. 15 special board meeting

The New Hartford Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 15. in the library at Robert L. Bradley Elementary, 33 Oxford Rd.

During the meeting, Patricia N. Kilburn, Ed.D., district superintendent of Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES, will discuss the process of searching for the district’s next superintendent with board members.

The New Hartford Central School District is a component district of OHM BOCES, which offers a variety of services and educational programs. As New Hartford is a component district, the board asked Dr. Kilburn to assist in its superintendent search process.

There is time set aside at each New Hartford board meeting for public comment. Information about public participation can be found on the district website. In order to allow meaningful discussion by the board on agenda items and to accomplish the business of the district, the by-laws permit a time limit of three minutes per speaker for a total of 30 minutes.

New Hartford Board of Education meetings are streamed via Zoom. An updated link to virtually attend the meeting will be available at this link ahead of the meeting time: https://www.newhartfordschools.org/board-of-education/

The full agenda for the Aug, 15 meeting will be uploaded to BoardDocs in advance of the meeting.
