Lily, who is enrolled in the cosmetology program at Oneida-Herkimer-Madison (OHM) BOCES, has merged her passion with compassion.

She attained Sensory Safe and Autism Certification in cosmetology to better serve clients like her brother who has ‘special needs and developmental delays.’

After graduation, she plans to continue her education to earn a business degree and eventually open a salon that employs individuals with disabilities.

Lily has been a member of New Hartford’s Spartan 2 Spartan, Pal 2 Pal and Kindness clubs and volunteers with organizations dedicated to down syndrome support and advocacy, such as GiGi’s Playhouse and The 21 Club.
