The Senior High School schedule includes a mixture of semestered courses and alternate day courses. The school day has four periods, also referred to as blocks. There are two blocks in the morning and two blocks in the afternoon.
All students have lunch at the same time in the middle of the day.
The school operates on a four-day cycle.
The majority of courses are taught in the “semester” model. Courses that are semestered are taught in one block each day for one semester.
Final exams are given at the completion of the course. Some courses, due to the final assessment schedule, are taught on an alternate day basis all year.
Half-credit courses are scheduled on an alternate day basis in one semester. Whenever possible, students are scheduled for English and Social Studies in opposite semesters.
