K-6 parents and caregivers invited to attend Literacy Support Night

New Hartford Central School District parents and caregivers are invited to attend a workshop focused on how to best support students’ literacy skills at home.

Led by the Elementary Curriculum Team and teachers, Literacy Support Night will offer K-6 parents and caregivers insight on the research that guides New Hartford educators on how students learn to read.

Attendees will learn about the Science of Reading, how New Hartford’s curricular programs align with the Science of Reading, and what parents/caregivers can do to support literacy at home.

Two sessions will be offered:

Grades K-2

Monday, Dec. 2, 2024
6:30 – 8 p.m.

Grades 3-6

Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024
6:30 – 8 p.m.

Both sessions will be held in the Spartan Cafe at the Bradley Elementary/Senior High School complex located at 33 Oxford Road, New Hartford. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

The sessions are intended for parents/caregivers only. Seats are limited and registration is required to attend. Interested parents/caregivers must register online by Nov. 22.
