Varsity Baseball

The boys varsity baseball team earned a first place finish in the Colonial Division, claiming a Tri-Valley League (TVL) co-championship with Proctor. Finishing second out of 14 Class A teams at the end of the regular season, they earned a second seed in sectionals and a first-round bye.

In the sectional quarter-finals, the Spartans took on seventh seeded Central Valley Academy (CVA). The Spartans took an early 2-1 lead, scoring runs in the bottom of the first and second innings. The lead did not hold up though as CVA scored five unanswered runs in the latter innings, ending the Spartan’s season with a final score of 6-2.

The Spartans finished the season with winning records across the board:

  • Colonial Division Record: 4-2
  • TVL Record: 9-3
  • Section III Record: 13-3
  • Overall Record: 14-5

The team was led by team MVPs Cole Raux and Matt Greene, Most Improved Player Logan Clarey, Heart and Hustle Award winner Rowan Gall, and Unsung Hero Award recipient Jake Halpin. Other notable top performers included Derek Joy, Nick Perrotta, John Vitullo and Peyton Way.

Looking ahead, seven student-athletes will return from the 2024 roster and Coach Green, Coach Weimer and Coach Moran are looking forward to seeing more success in 2025.

The team would like to wish its graduating seniors – Rowan Gall, Matt Greene, Jake Halpin, Derek Joy, Dylan Joy, Nick Perrotta, Cole Raux and Gianni Trevisani – continued success as they move on to their college experiences.

Varsity Softball

The girls varsity softball team had only four returning starters this season – juniors Taylor Scranton, Olivia Vitullo, Dani Lucas and Jenna Glenn – but all with winning experience. The team added a youth movement to the starting lineup and faced one of their most challenging schedules in years.

The season started off strong with a 3-1 record after defeating one AAA and two AA schools. These wins proved to be big confidence boosters. The Spartans went on to win their third straight Colonial Division title with a 5-1 record and tied for second place overall in the Tri-Valley League.

Led by freshman starting pitcher Ruby Gehringer, the team earned a second seed for sectional play. After beating West Hill at home and Chittenango in the semi-finals, the Spartans advanced to their second sectional finals in the past three years. However, the team came up short and lost to the number one seed Camden. The team finished the season with a 14-6 record.

The 2025 season looks to be as bright and exciting as the past two seasons and the team wishes the best of luck to graduating senior Claire Mitchell.

Boys Varsity Track

The boys varsity outdoor track season was another strong one as many student-athletes stepped up into larger roles.

New personal records were set at every meet and invitational, with these student-athletes working extremely hard, even in difficult conditions. Mother Nature delayed outdoor workouts and the team ran in the cold, snow and rain. It showed mental toughness and pushed student-athletes to reach their personal bests.

At the end-of-season Tri-Valley League (TVL) invitational, the team placed second overall, highlighted by wins in the 4×100 relay (Wilkenson Joseph, Dylan Merrill, Julain Pacheco and Nitesh Constantine), 400 hurdles (Antonio Camarra), and long and triple jump (Keegan Radtke). Second place finishers included the triple jump (Nitesh Constantine) and high jump (Landon Smith).

Several student-athletes qualified for sectionals and some even qualified for the state qualifier meet. Standouts from the state qualifier included a second place finish by Antonio Camarra in the 400 hurdles, who narrowly lost out on a bid to the state meet by .27 seconds, but beat his previous personal record by two seconds. Newcomer Keegan Radtke was the only freshman to make the state qualifier in the long jump and advanced to the finals, where he finished fifth. Brycen Gaiser finished sixth overall in the D-1 pentathlon.

The coaching staff would like to thank the seniors for their time, hard work and dedication to the program, and they look forward to another outstanding season next year with the returning student-athletes.

Unified Basketball

The season was filled with energy, hard work and determination. This group of student-athletes was determined to improve upon their own personal skills and support each other through the highs and lows of a season designed to challenge. The team not only set high expectations for themselves and worked hard to find success, but also took an inclusion pledge.

Going undefeated in the Tri-Valley League (TVL) with a 5-0 record, the season came to a close in the TVL finals against Whitesboro. The team placed second in the TVL championship, playing hard and leaving everything on the court.

Returning seniors Tommy Arcuri, Tyler Brennan and Mark Radel helped keep the team focused and led the team to a successful season. The team was also supported by seniors Justin Murphy, Dhruv Nayyar, Jordan Palmer and Chris Wiater, all of whom will be missed next year. Rounding out the team were Addison Cornish, Maya Frawley, Madison Freiberger, Madison Phillips, Logan Rose, Andrew Snyder, Kevin Wadsworth and Annie Ward.
