Show synopsis
Xanadu tells the story of Sonny Malone, a struggling artist in 1980s Venice Beach California. The muse Clio (in disguise as a rollerskating Australian named Kira) decides to inspire Sonny to create a space where all the arts can converge in one place. Sonny and Kira have to convince Danny, an artist formerly inspired by Kiro in the 1940s who owns the building they want to use, that there is more to life than money. With the help and hindrance of her sister muses, and a soundtrack including ELO hits like “Magic”, “All Over The World”, and “Evil Woman”, Xanadu is a ridiculously fun romp through the 1980s.
About Masque
Masque is the largest club in the district and is open to any students in grades 7 through 12. The student-run organization presents a junior high musical (grades 7 through 9 in the cast, grades 7 through 12 on the crew) each fall and a senior high musical (grades 10 through 12 in the cast and on the crew) each spring.
Approximately 50 students are participating in this year’s spring production, both on stage and behind the scenes.
