Mr. Timothy Ferguson has been a member of the music department at New Hartford since 2002. A graduate of the School of Music at Ithaca College , this native of Minoa, NY has had the opportunity to perform with various groups. He served as the lead trumpet player for the top jazz ensemble at Ithaca College while also performing in many other ensembles there.

In 2000, Mr. Ferguson played lead soprano bugle for the internationally known Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps. from Rockford, Illinois. Along with teaching at Myles and Hughes Elementary Schools, Mr. Ferguson is also a member of the staff for the Spartan Marching Band , assists with the High School Jazz Band and teaches private music lessons. He was nominated for the 2004 KEYS Program "Music Educator of the Year." He has also received his Masters Degree at the SUNY Institute of Technology in Information Design and Technology.

Mr. Ferguson is very excited for the opportunity to work with the students of New Hartford. He is enjoying life with his wife, Kate, and their son, Ben.
